HGC Foundation

The backbone of the new governance structure of the Foundation is the following standing committees.  We will be looking to welcome committee members throughout the summer and fall months and ask for your interest in any of the committees below.  If there is an area that you feel like you would be able to contribute and it is not listed here, please write a note at the bottom of the form (found on the back of this sheet).  STANDING COMMITTEES:Governance CommitteeThe Governance Committee is responsible for developing and recommending a slate of officers and Directors for election by the Alumni and the Board. It also is responsible for monitoring the overall governance of the Foundation.   Development CommitteeThe Development Committee is responsible for designing, supervising, and overseeing the fund-raising activities of the Foundation.   Alumni Engagement CommitteeThe Alumni Engagement Committee is responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of activities to encourage participation of Alumni in the programs and goals of the Foundation and the Glee Club.  Finance CommitteeThe Finance Committee is chaired by the Treasurer and is responsible for overseeing the finances of the Foundation. The Investment Committee, a sub-committee of the Finance Committee, is responsible for managing the investments of the Foundation.  Student Relations CommitteeThe Student Relations Committee fosters strong open communication between the Foundation and Glee Club and is responsible for reinforcing the importance of Glee Club activities and goals, coordinating a collaborative division of duties on joint projects, and undertaking other duties as charged by the Executive Committees of both the Foundation

and the Glee Club.
